Jake YarwoodThis is the work of the talented Siân Boucherd. I had the pleasure of attending a basket weaving class with her last year and what an experience it was. From learning of the seeming simplicity of the process, in terms of tools, not knowledge, to just how substantial and complex an undertaking weaving can be. Siân was kind enough to let me borrow a couple of pieces from a collection she had made up, in turn I took them out and photographed them amidst the Jarrah forests here in the South West. These are a selection of the results. Both pieces photographed are made from recycled hemp, sisal and raffia.
